Bio Recycling

The CSG ARTL system is a comprehensive bio-product recycling service, bringing together producers and farmers in a unique partnership.

The recycling of organic waste to land requires a full knowledge of current and pending legislation, careful planning and environmental sensitivity. CSG is probably the largest bio-product recycling company in England today.

Organic Sludge & Bio-Products

Perhaps the most common biosolid used as a fertilizer or soil conditioner is that of treated sewage and paper bioproducts. In both cases the CSG ARTL system collects, transports and puts the product to land at the necessary application rate. The ARTL system can also be used for other forms of organic material.

Sewage Biosolids

In most cases, we will take the treated sewage cake to a designated holding area and then onto the agreed agricultural land, whereupon it is spread using the latest Terragator technology. However, if the treatment plant's centrifuge is out of commission for any reason, we will provide a portable centrifuge to complete the operation.

Paper Bioproducts

The residue from the reforming and recycling of newspaper, magazines and cardboard contains valuable levels of N, P and K, which can make a significant contribution to a crop's management regime, reducing inorganic inputs and boosting crop yields. The high fibre content of the bioproduct will increase the soil's organic matter and provides lime for pH balancing. This helps the soil's structure, stability and workability.

Land Management

CSG ARTL is not just about transportation and spreading; it is about a totally tailored package to suit the producer and the farmer.

Through a team of fully qualified agronomists and field staff, CSG will assess the soil condition and calculate the correct dosage field-by-field, hectare-by-hectare. The bio-product, be it sewage cake, paper or any other form, is then carefully balanced to meet the soil's requirements.

Field Management

All products will be spread via our specialist equipment and in some cases Terragators, which not only controls the volume of spread via an on-board computer, but also identifies the exact location where each spreading stops/starts in the field via Global Positioning System (GPS), ensuring complete accuracy.
